Through subtle humour this series of work examines the sacred nature of the white cube and art; drawing parallels between religious methods and places of worship, and the white cube and art’s ‘God’, Pablo Picasso. Here the Hassock and prayer
mat are used as a vehicle in expressing the most formalist mediums, painting and sculpture. It questions the effect of the white cube as well as people’s faith of
art and religion.
